My OpenTelemetry work has grown out of consistently showing up to community calls, SIG discussions, and project conversations. I joined the project as a member after taking ownership of substantial upstream work and seeing it through to publication.

The survey was a particularly meaningful contribution. It involved sanitizing and structuring responses, looking for patterns across a wide range of categories, and working with maintainers from both projects to turn the analysis into something useful. The final findings show measurable improvement in interoperability while making the remaining friction more concrete.
